Visual Arts
Our Visual Arts department offers a dynamic combination of studio instruction, socially engaged public art projects, and exhibition opportunities in local venues, including the Jon Ginsburg Gallery at the Creative Center. This department seeks to serve the whole person and transform the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities through the arts by building self-esteem, developing motor-skills, cultivating community integration, and building social and vocational skills.
Workshops
We recently began doing workshops with our artists. Every month they are given the opportunity to sign up for a workshop where they can learn how to make something new using mediums they might not have tried before. Screen printing, cartooning, and sublimation are just a few of these mediums that many are trying out.
