Daphne Newman
Daphne Newman has been an artist at The Creative Center for many years, and is a very technically skilled artist. Daphne’s drawings, watercolors, prints, and paintings show an attention to detail and a keen eye for observation. Scenes from nature and rural country living are often the subject matter of Daphne’s art. She often uses many different colors, ranging from neon bright to powdery soft, within a single piece of art. Daphne invites the viewer into the scene that she is depicting. She makes beautiful images of idyllic places that have a calming effect on the viewer. Perhaps this is why Daphne is drawn to this subject matter, for the peaceful effect it has on each person who encounters it.
